Welcome to First Field Ministries
Pedro and Yasmin Osorio were both raised by hardworking immigrant parents who instilled in them the value of perseverance and work. Like many first-generation Americans, they set out early in life with dreams of achieving the so-called “American Dream.” But during their college years, everything changed when they both met the Lord and experienced a life-transforming new birth in Christ.
By God’s grace, they experienced a measure of success early in their careers—a glimpse of the worldly dream they had once pursued. Yet, as they grew in their walk with Christ, their hearts were drawn to a higher calling. No longer chasing society’s definition of success, Pedro and Yasmin are now seeking to follow God’s ideal for the family and daily life.
This journey of faith and purpose led to the founding of First Field Ministries—a ministry rooted in the belief that the first and most important mission field is the home. With this in mind, Pedro and Yasmin strive to educate, equip, and encourage families to grow in faith, health, and service, just as God continues to teach and shape their own family.
Today, they live with their four children in the peaceful countryside of Magnolia, Mississippi. In October 2022, they hosted their first annual Country Living Training Seminar on their property—a beautiful gathering born from their desire to use every blessing, including their home and land, for God’s service.
At First Field Ministries, we believe that not everyone is called to preach from a pulpit or serve as a missionary overseas. But everyone is called to be a medical missionary—sharing Christ’s love through practical, healing ministry wherever they are. Whether in the home, the community, or the workplace, we each have a field to tend and souls to reach.
We invite you to join us on this journey of faith, family, and practical service as we seek to honor the Lord with all we’ve been given—starting right at home.

At First Field Ministries, our Country Living Training is more than just a workshop—it’s a hands-on experience designed to equip families and individuals with the tools and confidence to live simply, sustainably, and in harmony with God’s plan.
Whether you’re just beginning your homesteading journey or looking to deepen your skills, our training offers practical, real-life instruction in areas like gardening, natural remedies, food preservation, basic construction, and basic homestead management. Each session is rooted in Biblical principles and family-centered values.
This is a unique opportunity to slow down, get your hands in the soil, and learn side by side with others who share a desire for purposeful, self-sufficient living. Most importantly, this will provide an opportunity to gather with like minded individuals who are wanting to prepare for Jesus second coming.
